Outlander has seen a number of deaths throughout the show’s four seasons so far, and they are certainly going to continue into season five. While Jamie Fraser (played by Sam Heughan) has survived all attacks so far, his companions have not been so lucky.
In particular, Angus Mhor (Stephen Walters) was killed off back in season two, shortly after the Battle of Prestonpans.
While this was a shock to Jamie, and indeed viewers, it was certainly a surprise to the cast as well.
Angus was a core part of the show, and had a number of friends and allies in the show before the battle really began to rage on.
One of his best friends was Ross (Scott Kyle), who was devastated by his loss.

Scott’s portrayal of Ross was last seen back in season two, so fans have been missing him for some time now.
It is not yet known if Ross will ever return to the show, but anything is possible.
Recently Outlander producer Ronald D. Moore spoke about the upcoming season, and teased a conflict between Jamie and Roger MacKenzie (Richard Rankin).
Speaking at New York Comic Con earlier this year, he said: “It’s no easy task being Jamie Fraser’s son-in-law, as Roger will discover.
