It’s the app that’s been extremely popular on social media over the last few weeks as many people upload their photographs to see what they would look like as the opposite sex.
We’ve seen everyone from soap stars to sports stars posted on Face App, but what would the stars of Outlander look like with their genders reversed?
Jamie Fraser
Jamie Fraser played by Sam Heughan is known famously in the show for his red hair, when we transformed him into a woman we got strong Merida from Brave vibes!
Claire Fraser
Claire Fraser is Jamie’s wife in the show and played by actress Caitriona Balfe.
When put through the app we couldn’t quite put our finger on who she looks like. What do you think?
Brianna Fraser
Brianna Fraser is Jamie and Claire’s daughter played by actress Sophie Skelton.
In the show, when Claire goes back through the stones pregnant with her, she promises Jamie that she will name their unborn child after his father Brian. What do you think of Brianna as Brian?
Roger MacKenzie
Roger MacKenzie (Wakefield), played by actor Richard Rankin, married Brianna Fraser in the show and they share a son Jeramiah.
Many of the male characters in Outlander already have long hair so we weren’t expecting much of a change but we think Roger Mac looks extremely glam and looks like he even managed to book a hair appointment through lockdown!
Lord John Grey
Lord John Grey is played by actor David Berry and he plays a significant role within the series. He is looking after Jamie’s son William as his own.
Him and Jamie are dear friends and we could totally picture the two of them being best of friends even as their female counterparts.
Marsali Fraser
Marsali Fraser (Lauren Lyle) played a key role in the most recent series (don’t worry we won’t give any spoilers away) but her heroic actions really made Outlander fans fall in love with her even more.
We think as a male she is giving us David Tennant vibes. Would you agree?
Fergus Fraser
Frenchmen Fergus Fraser (Cesar Domboy) is the husband of Marsali and Jamie’s right hand man. When we transformed Fergus into a woman, it really reminded us of American actress Taryn Manning.
John Myers
Welsh mountain man John Quincy Myers is played by Welsh actor Kyle Rees.
John befriends Jamie and Claire shortly after their arrival in North Carolina. Who do you think he looks like?
Ian Fraser Murray
Ian Fraser Murray is Jamie’s nephew in the show and is played by John Hunter Bell.
Ian returned in the fifth season after living with the Mohawk. Ian is almost unrecognisable, who do you think he looks like?
Black Jack Randall
Black Jack Randall, played by actor Tobias Menzies, is the villain though out the first few seasons of the show.
He also plays Claire’s future husband Frank during the flash back scenes which we think is extremely clever.
As Black Jack has long hair in the show, we weren’t really expecting much change but were surprised by how amazing our favourite villain looks!
Diana Gabaldon
Of course we couldn’t not include author of the Outlander books Diana Gabaldon. Did you know that Diana actually briefly appeared in the show in season one episode ‘The Gathering’?
When we put Diana’s picture through the app, we thought she really resembled Joe Proctor from Starz show Power (played by actor Jerry Ferrara).
