Oti Mabuse snaps at Rylan as Strictly Come Dancing host exposes Bill's 'unfair advantage'

Otis Mabuse, 30, is currently on course to secure her second consecutive win on Strictly Come Dancing with amateur dancer Bill, 55. With the pair being the bookmakers’ favourites to claim victory, the couple are still hard at work rehearsing to ensure they secure a place in the grand final of the BBC dance show. However, speaking ahead of performing the Argentine Tango on Saturday night, It Takes Two star Rylan, 32, seemed to suggest the comedian had a better chance of winning than the others, with the professional dancer trying to shut the presenter down.

Following a discussion of Oti’s past performing an Argentine Tango on the programme, Rylan said: “I don’t like to bring this up because I don’t like to start the rumour mill but you guys have an unfair advantage.”

“No, don’t start with that on It Takes Two,” the professional dancer hit back, with the presenter then explaining it had something to do with food.

Speaking directly to Bill, the host said: “Your lovely wife has been cooking for the pair of you. Some of the supplies being Japanese Burgers, a Chicken, Chilli and Tortilla Soup and Coriander Marinated Grilled Salmon.”

The reigning champion then relaxed her posture as she applauded her contestant’s other half for supplying them with energy.

“We’ve got to thank Kris [Bailey] because she is working very hard,” the presenter added, before telling the comedian his spouse had left him something in a gold box.

The “unfair advantage” means with Bill’s spouse cooking him and Oti dinners, they can put more time into training instead of worrying about what they’re going to eat.

Taking to her Twitter account last week, the professional dancer shared a snap of one of Kris’ creations she had made for the couple.

In view of her 148,800 social media followers, the trained performer: “Everyday Mrs Bailey makes us lunch and dinner.”

According to latest odds from Coral bookmakers, it seems Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing, 31, could be making an exit from the competition this weekend.

At 11/10, he is the favourite to be knocked out of the semi-final, with former Royal Marine JJ Chalmers, 33, also in contention to leave.

Spokesperson John Hill said: “Our betting says Jamie Laing and JJ Chalmers need a big performance to survive this weekend as they head the elimination betting.”

Leading the charge to victory is comedian Bill who looks set to win the Glitterball Trophy as his chances of winning stand at 8/11.

“In the outright market, it remains one-way traffic for Bill Bailey who is clearly the one to beat in the final stages of the series,” Hill added.

Not far behind the comedian is singer and chart-topper HRVY, 21, whose chances of winning currently stand at 5/2.

EastEnders actress and soap star Maisie Smith stands at 6/1 to become champion, giving her a possible second Strictly title to put to her name after securing victory in last year’s Children in Need special.
