Orlando Bloom has revealed how he makes long-distance work with Katy Perry, and to be honest, we could all learn a thing or two.

The Lord Of The Rings actor is currently filming the second season of his Amazon Prime series Carnival Row in the Czech Republic, while K-Pez is off touring around the world for different projects.

And Orlando, who recently enjoyed a getaway with Katy in Ibiza, explained that it’s all about doing the ‘groundwork’ and making sure you ‘trust’ each other.

‘That’s part of the job, right?’ the actor, 42, told People when asked about going long-distance.

‘You have to do the groundwork together, create the feeling of trust and safety so that you can spend time apart and do everything that you need to do and still feel tethered to that person, so that you can go on a journey together.’

Amen to that, Orlando.

The actor, who proposed to Katy on Valentine’s Day this year, was a touch more vague when asked how the wedding preparations are going.

‘In the sense that we are doing all the work necessary to lay a really grounded foundation to our relationship,’ he said.

Riiiiiiight. Sounds like planning is going… well?

The couple, who recently revealed they love getting enemas (why the hell not), have been dating on and off since 2016.

The duo are apparently keen to make their wedding ‘a little different’, and want it to be ‘modern and exciting’.

‘They are both so busy that they now set aside down time to plan all the personal details. They are both on the same page about making their wedding a little different,’ a source told Entertainment Tonight.

‘They want it to be modern and exciting. She is leaning away from wearing white and her family is doing their best to encourage her to be more low-key, but that doesn’t seem to be her.’

We’ve already bought our hats.
