ORLANDO Bloom – honorary American after living in the country for two decades – has revealed the horrifying fall that could have killed him as he urges people to protect medics and stay home.
The Hollywood actor, soon to be a dad for the second time, told how he fell from a high window while studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in the UK in 1988.

Katy Perry’s fiance, 43, feared he would be paralysed yet in his Instagram message, posted amid the coronavirus-imposed lockdown restrictions, he told how doctors and nurses saved his life.
Orlando wrote on his page: “The NHS saved my life when I was 20 after I fell from a 3rd floor window and broke my back.
“Having lived in the US for nearly 20 years now it’s one of the public services from home I respect the most.”
His words came alongside a clip of the NHS which featured the plea: “Stay home save lives.”

The UK is also following self isolation and social distancing measures, like the US, in the battle against the airborne virus.
Orlando, 43, was born in Canterbury in the UK, before moving to the Hollywood Hills when his film career kicked off.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star now no doubt has plenty of tasks to do and reasons to stay at home during the coronavirus crisis, with partner Katy, 35, soon expecting their first child.
This month, she let slip to fans they will be welcoming a little girl into their family.

The big reveal comes one month after Katy told fans at her Melbourne, Australia concert that she was hoping for a baby girl.
