Orange Is The New Black star Danielle Brooks had maybe a little too much fun inflicting pain on her partner, by making him try a contraction simulator so he experiences the pain of childbirth (or something like it).

The 30-year-old actress, who played Tasha ‘Taystee’ Jefferson on the show, sat down with her boyfriend Dennis for the latest episode of Netflix’s A Little Bit Pregnant, to give him a taste of what she had coming during childbirth.

Dennis looks pretty apprehensive from the start as he takes several deep breaths while Danielle says with somewhat of a glint of sinister joy: ‘I’m so ready for this moment because it’s time for my love to feel what it might feel like to have a contraction.’

While booting up the machine, Danielle, who was heavily pregnant at the time, reminds her man: ‘You said you could take pain,’ to which he replied with slight reservation: ‘I did.’

In a last minute plea, he begs: ‘Take it easy on me.’

Oh, bless him.

Once the softer contractions kick in, Dennis says: ‘Babe, ow! That’s too much,’ but Danielle is on a roll.

It gets too much for Dennis who screams out in agony and begs the cameras to cut, but Danielle isn’t the most supportive partner in that moment, bursting out in laughter and unable to control her amusement.

Is it wrong that we also find his pain highly entertaining?

After managing to compose herself, Danielle is then the perfect birthing coach and tells Dennis to ‘breathe’ through the ordeal.

But the pain eventually gets the better of him and he gets up after crying out in agony.

Danielle then informs him: ‘You most women go into labour for like, 12 hours, 14 hours. You only did about two minutes.’

Looking down at his fitness watch, Dennis is shocked to see his heart rate ‘through the roof’, but Danielle reassures him: ‘You’re a trooper’.

While recovering from his, ahem, ordeal, Dennis admits: ‘If this is what you’re going to go through, I appreciate you fully baby…

‘I’m going to call my mother too and tell her I love her.’

Of course, Danielle gave birth to their baby girl not long after.

Announcing the news earlier this month, Danielle shared a heartwarming photo of the newborn resting on her mum’s chest, with the caption: ‘11.16.19… She’s perfect.’
