Oprah Winfrey has had a true friend in Gayle King for the better parts of both of their lives.
And the media mogul recently celebrated her best friend’s 65th birthday with some pampering.
She took to her Instagram story Saturday as she treated King to a manicure before throwing her a dinner party.

King said while getting her nails done: ‘It’s 65, but the good thing is, I don’t feel 65. What does 65 feel like? I don’t know, but I don’t feel that.’
Winfrey, also 65, interjected from behind the camera: ‘It feels like whatever you feel like.’
The birthday girl responded: ‘Then I feel 40-something. And the doctor said my body is 40-something. So, I’ll take that.’
Winfrey then gave a sneak peek at the table being set for her pal’s birthday dinner party.
Birthday girl: King said while getting her nails done: ‘It’s 65, but the good thing is, I don’t feel 65. What does 65 feel like? I don’t know, but I don’t feel that’
How does it feel? Winfrey, also 65, interjected from behind the camera: ‘It feels like whatever you feel like’
Inner child: The birthday girl responded: ‘Then I feel 40-something. And the doctor said my body is 40-something. So, I’ll take that’
She walked around the table, holding some small glass vases with yellow flowers in water.
The talk show host said: ‘These are paperweights that are really yellows. So, here’s the deal, Gayle’s favorite color is yellow, so we’re gonna yellow up the place. These will be at each little place setting.’
She revealed that they had the flowers shipped from Holland before showing off the finished product.
The long table was set with all kinds of yellow floral arrangements, as well as lit candles for ambiance.
She said: ‘Here we are, finishing the table. So, here’s the finished… all things yellow for Gayle. Isn’t it beautiful?
