The new team jerseys will be unveiled in this month, with an announcement explaining that players will wear them when competing at National Electronic Sports Tournament (NEST) finals in China. Syman Gaming currently competes in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and FIFA.

Yu Chen, COO at ONWEAR commented on the partnership: “We certainly believe that Syman has its potential from their performance in the Berlin Major. As the leading esports apparel brand in China, we do hope to earn more awareness in the global esports scene and we think working with Syman can accomplish this goal.”

ONWEAR is the apparel sponsor of multiple esports teams in Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. It has also become the partner of Korean organisation Team SELECTED. The partnership between ONWEAR and Syman Gaming can be considered as a contribution towards ONWEAR’s global expansion.

In May, Esports Insider spoke with Chen about ONWEAR’s history in esports, why it chose to focus on apparel in this particular industry, and what it aimed to do in the future.

Esports Insider says: It’s not common to see Chinese esports companies establish partnerships with CIS esports organisations. This partnership between ONWEAR and Syman Gaming could be a pivotal moment as it may lead to Chinese organisations discovering the potential of CIS esports market and attract more CIS organisations to enter the Chinese market.
