One of these £4 face creams sells every 20 seconds

In a world where skincare shelves are packed to the rafters with everything from serums and face oils to intimidating acids and mists, it can be all too easy to overlook the humble moisturiser. And it seems one cult classic is reigning supreme in the nation’s skincare regimes.

Known and loved for its efficient, hardworking and more importantly, purse-friendly skincare solutions, Nivea is a brand the nation has been relying on for years.

Indeed, beauty buffs are so reliant on one of the German skincare brand’s ranges in particular that one tube of the 24h Day Creams is sold every 20 seconds – that’s 4,320 tubes a day!

Based on recent sales data collected by the brand, one tube of Daily Essentials Moisturiser is sold in the UK every 20 seconds, equating to a further 3 tubes a minute, 180 an hour, 4,320 a day, and a whopping 1,576,800 a year.

It seems the creamy formulas are the reason customers can’t get enough, with data from Beiersdorf revealing two thirds of UK consumers prefer hydrating skin through cream-based moisturisers. Despite gels and water-based moisturisers having taken centre stage in recent years, the sales data shows that a classic, creamy moisturiser is still the preferred formulation in their skincare cabinets.

The popular range includes a variety of moisturising creams that cater to different skin types, allowing you to mix and match to create the ideal moisturiser that best meets your ever-changing skin’s needs.

Each cream is dermatologically approved and formulated with natural ingredients including SPF, which helps to protect skin against sunlight and external environmental factors. Consider it a skincare superhero. We’ll take the whole range to soothe our winter face, please and thank you.
