Olly Murs thanks girlfriend for ‘shoulder to cry on’ following Caroline Flack’s death

Olly Murs, 35, has shared a sweet message in honour of his girlfriend Amelia Tank, thanking her for being a “shoulder to cry on” after the death of his close friend Caroline Flack. Caroline died, aged 40, on Saturday morning after taking her own life.

The Moves hitmaker took to social media to share a loved-up snap with his other half.

Olly shared a picture of the pair kissing on a swing during a stunning getaway with his 2.9 million Instagram followers.

He captioned the post: “When I needed a cry you gave me a shoulder, when I needed space you let me have it.

“When I needed a kiss you said only on this f*****g swing. But literally thanks for the last few days, hope I didn’t ruin the last week of your awesome family holiday darlin. (sic).”

“We never stopped laughing, flirting (who can forget that), eating cheeseburger chasers, singing (which I always loved hearing), the arguments (which I never won), the disagreements on what jokes to say or what outfits you should wear.”

Olly went on to admit that the pair didn’t see “each other as much as we should have” after they stopped working together in 2015.

He continued: “I remember messaging you at your toughest time to let you know that I never read or listened to any of the c**p people were saying about you, I was just worried about my friend.

“I always knew how fragile you were but I never ever thought this would be the last contact we would have.”

He then vowed to his friend that his children and grandchildren will “know” her.

“This will hurt forever, love you cazza, Your Ols,” he finished.

On Thursday, Olly shared a cryptic post about the sun “still shining behind the clouds”.

Fans urged the star to “remain positive” whilst others assured him it was Caroline watching over him.
