Olivia Newton John is battling cancer for the third time, and recently admitted she doesn’t want to know how long she has left.

But the Grease star wants everyone to know she’s happy and healthy, as she made a public appearance at the Industry Dance Awards and Cancer Benefit Show.

The 70-year-old looked radiant at the event in Hollywood, where she received a Lifetime Achievement Award.

And speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the Physical singer said: ‘I just want everyone to know, I’m here, I’m doing great. I’m doing really well and I’m really healthy.

‘It was a challenging year because I broke my sacrum and I had to learn to walk again and everything.

‘But I am strong and I am back and I’m feeling good and loving every minute.’

Olivia looked chic at the dance awards, wearing a classic white suit with a sequinned vest and matching silver shoes.

The actress and singer posed with America’s Got Talent judge Julianne Hough on the red carpet, before sharing a hug with Jane Seymour.

And inside the ceremony, Olivia was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award, and received a donation for the Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in her native Australia.

The mum-of-one said: ‘It’s such an honour, and I am so grateful to receive that amazing check for my cancer wellness center. That it will help so many people with the programs to support them going through their cancer journey.’

She added that half of the money would go to research, while the rest would benefit the centre’s wellness programmes including meditation, acupuncture and music therapy.

Olivia has fought breast cancer twice already – once in 1992, and again in 2013, which she did not go public with.

The Grammy award winner had radiation therapy for stage four breast cancer last year for a tumour at the base of her spine, as well as using medical marijuana for relief.

Speaking to 60 Minutes, she said: ‘I’m so lucky that I’ve been through this three times and I’m still here. I’m living with it.

‘When you’re given a cancer diagnosis or a scary illness diagnosis, you are suddenly given a possibility of a time limit.

‘The truth is, you could get hit by a truck tomorrow, you don’t know so every day is a gift, particularly now.

‘If you believe the statistics, you’re going to make them happen. If somebody tells you, “you have six months to live”, very possibly you will – because you believe that.’
