Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveals the three qualities that make Aaron Wan-Bissaka stand out

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sang Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s praises after the 21-year-old finally completed his £50million switch to Manchester United on Saturday.

The right-back has signed a five year contract at Old Trafford, and becomes the club’s second signing of the summer following the arrival of Welsh winger Daniel James from Swansea City.

Wan-Bissaka is yet to be capped for England at senior level, but played for his country at this summer’s European Under-21 Championships in Italy.

The south Londoner played 46 times for Palace over the course of his two seasons in the first-team, but will now take his place as United’s first-choice right-back in the new campaign.

The full-back has signed a five-year deal

“Aaron is one of the best upcoming defenders in the Premier League,” Solskjaer told United’s official website .

“He has the right work ethic, talent and mentality to play for Manchester United and he fits exactly the type of player that we are looking to bring into the squad to help us improve and push on further.

“Aaron is a young, hungry player and eager to learn and that’s important at his age. I am delighted he has signed with us and we look forward to continuing his tremendous development so far.”

Wan-Bissaka added that he can’t wait to get going.

Solskjaer is delighted with the signing

“It’s an unbelievable feeling and an honour to call myself a Manchester United player and something I know that only a small number of players have the privilege to say,” he said.

“I can’t wait to get going and integrated into the squad. I will have a short break now after the European Championships but I’m looking forward to starting training with the manager and my new team-mates on the pre-season tour.”
