Ola Jordan and James Jordan have finally given their baby daughter a name after she went as ‘munchkin’ for a week.

The new parents couldn’t decide on what to call their new little bundle of joy, so just called her ‘baby’ or ‘our little munchkin’ for a few days as they made their minds up.

Now Ola and James have shared that they decided to give their daughter the beautiful name, Ella.

Ola told Hello! magazine: ‘We didn’t have a name for the first week – she was just Baby, our little munchkin.’

Speaking about how she feels to become a mum for the first time, the former Strictly Come Dancing star said: ‘It’s been amazing and overwhelming at the same time. We’ve wanted this for so long.

‘We had a lovely life, but this is making us feel so much happier than anything else we have done. Nothing in our careers measures up to this. It feels perfect.’

Her husband agreed, adding: ‘It is all the more special because it’s something we never thought would happen. Our trophies and accolades fade into the background.

‘This is the best moment of our lives, without a shadow of a doubt. Ola has given me the most precious gift. It’s totally changed the way I see the world.’

Ella was born in February and is the couple’s first child.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professionals conceived after starting IVF treatment last June.

At the time Ola, 37, suggested that their little one had already picked up her mum and dad’s dancing feet.

‘When we had the scan it was funny because the baby was dancing. I’m not sure if it was a cha-cha or a jive, but it was definitely dancing,’ Ola told Hello!.

The married couple first appeared on Strictly in 2006, staying on the show for 18 years collectively. James left the dance competition in 2013 – and went on to win Dancing on Ice in 2018 – while Polish dancer Ola followed two years later.
