After taking some time out of the spotlight, Selena Gomez is back on the red carpet. The star — who has been enjoying a low key 2019 following an extended Instagram hiatus — attended WE Day.
For the charitable event, Selena wore a Christian Dior gown, Vogue reports. She accessorised the gorgeous dress — which featured a deep neckline — with a colorful stack of bracelets and black heels.
Keeping the rest of the look also very elegant, Selena wore her hair in an updo. For the style, a few pieces were left out of the knotted bun, framing either side of her face. Her make-up included a white manicure and a bold cat eye. For her take on the always popular cat eye trend, Selena wore a neon blue wing.
This appearance marks the first time that the actor has returned to the red carpet since announcing her break from the public eye in 2018. Back in September, she shared that she would be stepping away from social media, writing, “As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given. Kindness and encouragement only for a bit! Just remember — negative comments can hurt anybody’s feelings. Obvi.”
In December 2018, pictures of the star enjoying time with her friends emerged on the Internet, and she later returned to Instagram to share a message of reflection. This year, she’s been keeping relatively busy, surprising fans at Coachella for a performance with Cardi B and preparing for her debut at the Cannes Film Festival.
