Manchester United forward Odion Ighalo believes Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Bruno Ferdnandes can make the club ‘great’ again.

The Nigerian’s made an emphatic start to life at Old Trafford since his shock loan move from Shanghai Shenhua in January and United are keen to sign the 30-year-old on a permanent deal.

Ighalo’s scored four goals in his eight games for the club and his arrival alongside that of midfielder Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon gave United a much needed boost after a difficult January.

If there’s a silver lining to be made out of the suspension of the Premier League season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can look at the fact that he’s likely to have Pogba and Rashford back for first team duty after their long term lay-offs.

Ighalo believes Pogba will make a huge difference to the side alongside Fernandes in midfield and says Rashford’s return can make United ‘great’ again.

‘Bruno is a fantastic player,’ said Ighalo.

‘I played with him in 2013-14 at Udinese. We’ve not seen the best of him yet in the Premier League.

‘Once Bruno settles down in England you will see what that guy can do. He has vision, he wants the ball always. He can shoot, he can score goals, he is very intelligent.

‘Before the ball comes, he is a step ahead to know what he wants to do. In times to come you are going to see what he can do in the Premier League, even better than what he is doing now.

‘He [Pogba] is working hard to get back to fitness and imagine when we have Pogba and Bruno in the midfield, then you will see a different team – [Marcus] Rashford coming back also.

‘Manchester United is going to be great again, winning games week in, week out. He’s a great player and it’s going to be a privilege to play with him.’
