A Love Island hopeful who spent £15,000 on cosmetic surgery in a bid to land a spot on the show has revealed she was rejected for a fourth time.
Emily Dorrell tried to impress producers by going under-the-knife as she was desperate to nab herself a place in the villa.
After sending a message to the show’s Instagram account, the 27-year-old single mum from Coventry said she was excited to receive a reply from a producer, who said they would look out for her application.
It was then that she decided to undergo surgery to enhance her chances of getting on the show.
However, the stunner didn’t make it through to the final lineup, which was revealed on Monday.
Emily had a boob lift and reduction and a Brazilian butt lift as she chased her reality TV dream.
Speaking to Closer magazine, Emily said she didn’t have the “skinny look you see on Love Island” as she was a “size 14 with JJ boobs” and so decided to turn to surgery to enhance her looks.
The busty babe said she had hoped becoming an Islander would help her find love and “kick-start” her career.
Emily believed the surgery was “an investment” in her future and was inspired to go on to the show as “girls like Olivia Attwood go on to have great careers and make money.”
She also explained how she hoped to start a fashion line.
Although she admitted she loves her new body, it has come with a hefty price tag as she revealed she had “squandered her house deposit”.
The gorgeous gal said she is “obsessed” with the ITV2 dating show and isn’t concerned about the mental health issues which could potentially come with an appearance on the show.
She told the publication: “I’ve read about previous contestants suffering from depression afterwards, but I think I’m mentally strong enough, and I’ve got a great support network around me.”
Emily admitted that her surgery hadn’t gone down too well with her family.
She revealed: “My mum was furious and told me I was being selfish… I did feel guilty about leaving my son behind with Mum – but I thought I was investing in a future for us if it would bring career opportunities.”
Love Island kicks off Monday, June 3 on ITV2.
