Nottingham Forest’s home Championship game against Reading has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
The game was called off following a 12:00 BST inspection at the City Ground by match referee Geoff Eltringham, with further rain forecast later in the day.
“Heavy rain overnight has left large areas of the pitch in an unplayable condition,” Forest posted on Twitter.
Two games were also called off in League One, and three in League Two because pitches were unfit for play.
Macclesfield Town’s home fixture against Bradford City was first to go shortly after 09:00, followed by Tranmere Rovers v Doncaster Rovers.
Lincoln City’s match against Bolton Wanderers at Sincil Bank was also called off, along with Forest Green Rovers v Crewe and Grimsby Town against Cheltenham.
Rearranged dates for the games will be confirmed in due course.
