Noel Gallagher’s daughter Anais on Oasis rocker refusing to wear mask: ‘I’m less revolutionary’

Noel Gallagher’s daughter Anaïs is keeping out of the face mask debate because she fears she might be ‘cancelled’.

Her dad, 53, caused controversy last month when he announced he refuses to wear a mask in public, adding: ‘There’s too many f***ing liberties being taken away from us. If I get the virus it’s on me.’

Anaïs, 20, said: ‘I get where he’s coming from but I’m less full-on than him. I’m generally less revolutionary than my dad. I’ve never not worn a mask.

‘I think my generation is quite lenient and that’s not necessarily a good thing. We do what we’re told a bit too much, we come from the era of fake news and Facebook telling us what the news is.

‘We are also hugely afraid of being cancelled. It’s very dangerous to stand up and be your own person in my generation. If you are going against the grain, you can be totally cut out.’

Her Rock ’N’ Roll Star dad is well known for throwing wild parties but Anaïs has rejected his lifestyle to become a farmer in the Dorset countryside.

Instead of schmoozing in London’s Primrose Hill like her Oasis rocker dad and socialite mum Meg Mathews, she is up at 6.30am feeding lambs on her boyfriend Julius Roberts’s organic farm near Lyme Regis.

‘My parents are famously party-ers and they love going out, and they are very social and I’m completely the opposite,’ says the photography student, who helps take care of 17 goats, 15 sheep, several lambs, two dogs and chickens.

‘The rock’n’roll lifestyle was never my thing. I have rebelled in the opposite direction by deciding to live on a farm.’

The celebukid, modelling for Bluebella lingerie, says her parents feared there was something wrong with her as a teen because she didn’t go off the rails, preferring to spend her Saturday nights reading or watching TV.

‘I was never going to live up to them in terms of who could party hardest,’ she said, adding her mum ‘worried I was wasting my youth’.

Even coven out was tricky for bisexual star Michelle

Fast & Furious siren Michelle Rodriguez says her parents, both Jehovah’s Witnesses, even saw birthday parties as ‘evil’… so telling them she was bisexual wasn’t exactly the present they might have hoped for.

During a conversation about coming out, 42-year-old Michelle, whose exes include supermodel Cara Delevingne, painted the scene at her home.

‘Well, my family is Jehovah Witness,’ she explained. ‘Birthdays and Halloween are, like, evil. I didn’t get to watch Disney movies ’til I was in my teens because of all the witchcraft.’

Kim: I was auf weirder-sehen Petras

Kim Petras admits she stood out like a sore thumb while growing up in a remote German village.

The trans pop star has since moved to LA, topping the charts with her summer ditty Malibu, but growing up wasn’t an easy ride for the 28-year-old. Proudly rocking her eccentric style, she told Hunger magazine: ‘I grew up in a village outside Cologne, so there were cows, grass, no neighbours. It was very unexciting and school was not very fun for me.

‘I was definitely the crazy person in the little village I lived in. I would dress weird and looked strange to people.’

I could still prophet from a humble life, says Moses

It’s Yeezus v Moses… Mercury Prize nominee Moses Boyd won’t be resorting to Kanye West-style shock tactics to carve out success.

The 29-year-old jazz star — beaten to the award by Michael Kiwanuka last month — is wary of Kanye’s headline-making stunts.

Moses Boyd won’t be resorting to Kanye West-style shock tactics

‘As an artist, I respect him but it’s complex with Kanye because I’m like, right message, wrong messenger,’ the Rye Lane Shuffle muso explained.

‘Some people want a quick cheque. I can’t knock people for that. It’s a hard world. It can set people up for life but they will sacrifice something. I’m happy to live a humble life if it means I have done things ethically and not double-crossed anybody.’

Modelling for Mr Porter, Moses reflected on his experiences of racism, such as when a policeman mistook his plasters for a drug stash. ‘That sets the tone,’ he said. ‘A sad reality for black people.’ Read the full interview at mrporter.com.

■ Sharon Osbourne was gutted that her eldest daughter Aimee declined to join the family when they became reality TV stars.

X Factor judge Sharon, 68, admitted the 37-year-old wanted nothing to do with their fame in The Osbournes back in the noughties, preferring to make her own way as a musician.

‘I was just sorry that Aimee didn’t come on the journey with us,’ said Sharon, whose kids Kelly, 35, and Jack, 34, shared the limelight with herself and Ozzy.

‘She just wants to do her music and do her creative thing.’
