During an appearance on The Matt Morgan Podcast, the former Oasis musician discussed the campaigns that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have launched since stepping down from their royal duties.
“Prince Harry, surely no one takes him seriously? He’s just a mad little kid,” he said.
Referring to the Duke of Sussex, Gallagher added: “I don’t like do-gooders in general, they f***ing wind me up.”
The singer-songwriter was more sympathetic toward other members of the royal family, claiming that they are having “a s*** time as they can’t do what they want”.
“They’re quite mad, the royal family,” he said. “What a terrible f***ing s*** life they must lead. It’s just service, what a load of w***.”
The 53-year-old continued: “We grow up thinking what a life they lead, living in Buckingham Palace with f***ing boring c***s all day, what a f***ing s*** life. Can’t go anywhere, can’t do anything. F***ng going to Kenya on holiday.”
When asked whether he was worried that these latest comments would upset his chances at receiving a knighthood, Gallagher replied that he was already out of the running “just by being myself”.
He said: “I can safely say I’d say no, because for a fact I’ll never get offered one. Not through any fault of mine, just by being myself so I’m not f***ing arsed.”
“I’ve seen the first series because my mate Matt Smith was in it, and then I didn’t see any of the other series until I seen this new [season] with my missus. It’s been good though. I was watching it thinking, ‘My life has been better than theirs,’” said Gallagher.
