Nipsey Hussle, whose real name was Ermias Davidson Ashgedom, was shot dead on Sunday afternoon outside his clothing store, Marathon Clothing, in southern Los Angeles, US. Hussle was a much respected American rapper and known for representing more than music. In addition to being a rapper and songwriter, Hussle was also highly active in cryptocurrency and entrepreneurship.

He was born on August 15, 1985 and died from a shooting on March 31, 2019.

Hussle emerge from the West Coast hip hop scene in the mid-2000s and became known for numerous mixtape, including his Bullets Ain’t Got No Name series.

In February 2018, his debut studio album Victory Lap was released after much delay and received critical claim and commercial success.

Earlier this year he was nominated for Best Rap Album and the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.
