A transcript from the Nipsey Hussle murder case claims that the rapper was shot after ‘snitch’ comments, according to the getaway driver in the drive-by shooting.

The rapper, who was fatally shot on 31 March, was at the time signing autographs, taking pictures with fans and talking with friends at the strip mall where he owned several businesses in the LA area.

Around the same time, the murder suspect, Eric Holder, and a woman he was dating pulled into the crowded parking space to get food from a fast food restaurant.

Holder reportedly spotted Hussle, real name Ermias Asghedom, and decided to talk to the Ocean Views hitmaker, who was with a large crowd at the time.

The two had a four-minute conversation, according to a prosecutor’s summary of the incident. At some point during the conversation, the topic turned to snitching.

Deputy District Attorney John McKinney told the grand jury: ‘Apparently, the conversation had something to do with [Hussle] telling Mr. Holder that word on the street was that Mr. Holder was snitching.

‘The conversation wasn’t particularly intense. It wasn’t particularly belligerent.’

The prosecutor also said Holder was heard saying to Hussle: ‘So you’ve never snitched?’ or ‘Haven’t you snitched?’

The version of events comes from McKinney’s opening statement during a May grand jury hearing.

A judge ordered the release of the 515-page document Thursday after the Los Angeles Times argued in court for public access; according to TMZ, the details of the event are based on Holder’s getaway driver.

The release of the document comes after Los Angeles police have said the motive for the shooting was a personal dispute.

However the files reveal more details about the words alleged to have been exchanged between Hussle, who died aged 33, and Holder.

The panel returned a six-count indictment charging the 29-year-old , with one count of murder, assault with a firearm and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and two counts each of attempted murder.

Holder has pleaded not guilty.

The reported getaway driver, the woman, is said to have driven off after the conversation with Holder back in the car, but he then pulled out a gun and told the woman to drive around the block.

He directed her to pull over and said that he’d be right back. The prosecutor said that this is when Holder walked up to Hussle and fired multiple rounds at him from two guns.

Holder jumped back into the car and instructed the woman to drive away; when she enquired what happened, he said to drive or he would slap her.

The woman has not been identified by name.

Holder was arrested two days after the death of Hussle, who died the same day of the fatal shooting.

He is being held in lieu of $6.5-million (£5,130,0000) bail. If convicted Holder will face life behind bars.

Nipsey is survived by two children, Emani and Kross, and was in a longtime relationship with actress Lauren London at the time of his death.
