If you’re after a new Nintendo Switch, Amazon.co.uk now has the original, non-Switch Lite version back in stock.

The Nintendo Switch has been suffering from severe stock shortages throughout the year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the console’s general popularity, and scalpers.

The release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons didn’t help either, as that game became an instant sales success and was likely responsible for many peoples’ decision to buy a Switch.

And while Nintendo doesn’t have any confirmed games for 2020, with the exception of next week’s Paper Mario: The Origami King, the company did confirm that titles scheduled to release later this year are still on track, meaning those without a Switch may be wanting one soon.

It’s a good job then, that the console is back in stock on Amazon and it’s not just the expensive special editions or the Switch Lite either.

Amazon.co.uk is offering the standard version of the Switch, which comes with just the console itself and a Joy-Con grip controller, which is the bare minimum you need to get started.

It costs £299.99 and you can get either the grey version or the neon version, where the Joy-Cons are red and blue. There are other editions that come included with a Switch game, but these are a lot more expensive, coming in at around £350.
