THE TORIES have been dealt a double blow in the polls – unable to stop the Brexit Party surge.
Nigel Farage’s outfit are up four points on 21 per cent just one behind the Conservatives.
Labour are down five in the past two weeks to 28 per cent but still in the lead if a general election were held.
The Brexit Party lead in EU election polling beating the combined Tory and Labour vote.
Theresa May sees her party’s EU vote drop to just 11 per cent leaving them in fourth place.
Farage’s army are on 34 points followed by Labour on 21 and the Lib Dems on 12.
The survey also found nearly three-quarters would find staying in the EU as unacceptable.
Adam Drummond, head of political polling at Opinium said: “The fact that the Brexit Party that is less than six months old is now vying with the governing party for second place is remarkable.”
