Nigel Farage slams vile tweet asking whether Brits will pull the trigger on Brexit Party leader

NIGEL Farage has slammed a vile target tweet asking whether Brits would be up for shooting him.

The Brexit Party boss was disgusted after former Lib Dem council candidate Richard Hall shared a photo of Farage in a gun’s sight with the caption: “As a patriot, do you squeeze the trigger?”

Farage fumed: “Imagine the outcry if a Brexit Party candidate posted a picture like this of Jo Swinson?

“Remainers have been radicalised by politicians who refuse to accept a democratic vote.”

On his Twitter account, which has since been taken down, Remainer Mr Hall described himself as a “grumpy old Leftie who is “not prepared to forgive #Brexitjihadis”.

He also claimed to be part of ‘Team Tusk’ – showing his support president of the European Council, Donald Tusk.

On his personal website Mr Hall claims to he have been involved in the People’s Vote campaign, MailOnline reports.

He states that ‘Brexit is the greatest crisis to face this country since World War II and that No deal would be “simply the end of Britain as a first world country.”

Mr Hall stood as a Lib Dem candidate in the 2006 local elections in Reading.

But before this he stood as a Labour Party Parliamentary candidate in 1992.

However, he left the party because of former leader Tony Blair, Guido reports.

Farage has been a regular target of abuse and was previously attacked with a milkshake while out on the campaign trail during the European Elections.

In May, a Jeremy Corbyn-supporting Remainer Paul Crowther, 32, was charged with common assault and criminal damage after he hurled a salted caramel drink over Farage.

Farage also blasted Channel 4 over a “sick” comedy show in which a right wing campaigner named Neil Fromage is shot in the head.

The Eurosceptic, 55, was lampooned in the spoof new series Year of the Rabbit which began airing on June 10.

In the show, the Fromage character, an out-spoken right winger, is assassinated while making a speech about the dangers of immigration.

Mr Farage, who previously led anti-EU party Ukip, called the scene in question “totally sick and frankly irresponsible.”

He said: “I think with Channel 4 we have reached a point where they are so partisan politically in everything they do that they now consistently go beyond what’s acceptable.”
