Nigel Farage is said to be in talks with Channel 4 to take part in their upcoming charity show, Celebrity Hunted.

The aim of the game is for contestants to remain hidden as they spend 14 days on the run as wanted fugitives – all in the name of Stand Up To Cancer.

And it appears the Brexiteer thinks he has a shot at winning, according to The Sun.

Insiders told the publication: ‘After seeing Stanley Johnson on the show last year, Nigel said he was more keen to do it. On his behalf his team have been negotiating a package for him. Those around him think he could actually win.

‘They’ve joked about the amount of pubs who’d open their doors for him to have a pint and possibly stick him in the cellar for a few hours.’

The source added: ‘Nigel is a people person and thinks he could easily get the public on his side to help him. Plus it’s all for a good cause and Nigel knows how to laugh at himself.’

This isn’t the first time the 55-year-old has fancied his chances at a reality show, and recently confessed that now Brexit is out of the way, he’d like to turn his attention to television.

When appearing on This Morning, the politician opened up to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about how he’d been approached by ITV for their popular competition, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

He laughed: ‘I don’t know, I don’t know. Well, the jungle have been after me a couple of times.’

Phil quizzed: ‘Were you tempted?’ to which Farage confessed: ‘No, because the Brexit thing wasn’t done, and I thought I’ve got to stick around.’

Not allowing him to finish he sentence, Holly interrupted: ‘It’s done now, but I think you’d have a few people voting for you.’

Agreeing with the presenter, the father-of-four said: ‘Well, it is done. I’d be on every blooming trial there is.

‘The problem with having an opinion is while some people love you a lot of them don’t. Let’s see what comes.’

And it seems the hosts were more than excited about seeing Farage on the small screen, as they asked about Strictly Come Dancing before joking over whether or not he could ice skate.

‘I’m not doing that,’ he laughed at the thought of Dancing On Ice: ‘Absolutely not doing that, we’ll see what life brings.’
