After an intimate video of herself with former boyfriend Lewis Hamilton landed online earlier this year, Nicole Scherzinger has now been the victim of a social media hack.

Her Instagram was taken over by hackers this weekend, with a post that encouraged her 3.9 million followers to click on a link that supposedly sent them to her ‘sex tape’.

The post, which was of a nude photo, remained live for half an hour, according to The Sun, with the caption: ‘Go to my Story > Swipe UP > DOWNLOAD a FREE App > releasing my full SEX Tape at 5,000 Downloads!’

The post was live for half an hour before it was allegedly removed around 7am local time.

Fans flocked to social media tagging the star, encouraging her to check her page as more and more started noticing the explicit image.

The star, who recently wrapped Australia’s Got Talent and is a judge on The Masked Singer in the US was at an Emmys event in Los Angeles the night before the hack.

It follows a hack of the star’s cloud in February, when the singer was seen in a short clip with former partner Lewis which left the X Factor judge understandably ‘heartbroken’.

In a video, the former Pussycat Doll was seen talking to her camera, before a separate clip showed her cuddling in bed with F1 champ Lewis.

The footage which has been leaked does not show any explicit acts.

It was not clear when the clip was taken; however, the Don’t Hold Your Breath singer dated Lewis on and off for eight years after they met at the 2007 MTV EMAs. They split for good in 2015.

Nicole isn’t the first celebrity to have via their iClouds – the most famous scandal occurred back in 2014 when a host of stars including Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton and Kirsten Dunst saw their private images leaked online.

Following the leak, five men were convicted in relation to the hacking, including Ryan Collins, who was sentenced to 18 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to one count of unauthorised access to a protected computer to obtain information.
