Nicole Kidman has teased her upcoming TV project Nine Perfect Strangers in a photo with Liane Moriarty, on whose book the show is based.

Anticipation for the show is feverish after Nicole starred in the cult hit Big Little Lies – again based on the book by Moriarty – alongside Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley from 2017-2019.

Sharing an image of a socially-distanced meeting – elbow bump and all – Nicole said in a caption: ‘We can’t wait to introduce you to #NinePerfectStrangers #LianeMoriarty.’

The feeling’s mutual.

The show also features Can You Ever Forgive me? actress Melissa McCarthy and Beauty and the Beast actor Luke Evans.

Will & Grace star Bobby Cannavale will also appear, it was revealed this week.

So, an all-star cast.

The plot of Nine Perfect Strangers concerns people with little in common thrown together at a wellness retreat.

Nicole will no doubt be looking to recreate the magic that landed her the 2017 lead actress Emmy for her performance in Big Little Lies.

She is also known for film roles in the likes of Eyes Wide Shut, Lion, Aquaman and Boy Erased. She won the 2003 best actress Oscar for playing Virginia Wolf in The Hours.

The star is a mum to four kids: Isabella, 27, and Connor, 25 – her kids with ex-husband Tom Cruise – and Sunday, 12 and Faith, nine, her kids with current husband Keith Urban.
