Nicola Roberts has revealed she’s ‘at peace’ following her stalker hell, after having her home repossessed by the bank.

The Girls Aloud star was left terrified by her stalker ex-boyfriend, Carl Davies, who knew where she lived.

She and the bank made a deal which allowed her to move out of her £1.25 million Surrey mansion, after she failed to sell it at just £825,000.

‘It was my decision to go to the bank and ask if they would take the house in exchange for clearing the mortgage,’ the 34-year-old said.

‘I had been trying to sell the house for years, and was so unhappy there that I decided to take the hit financially in order to move on and find a new property away from the bad memories.’

Nicola and Carl dated over 10 years ago for 18 months, but the singer was left terrified when her ex sent her up to 3000 messages, threatening to stab and burn her in some of them.

Last year, he was given a suspended 15-month prison sentence.

Davies previously received a lifetime restraining order against Nicola, and courts banned him from looking at her on social media, following a trial in 2017.

Nicola, who recently reunited with her pals Cheryl and Kimberly Walsh, previously said of the terrifying situation: ‘When somebody sends a message saying, “Those are nice pyjamas” you think “is he able to see into my house?”

‘You are too scared to take the dogs out for a walk because when someone plants vicious seeds you just imagine every possible outcome.

‘This is a relationship which ended 10 years ago. I should be able to move on from an unhealthy relationship if I want to and that has not been able to happen for me.’

She went on to work with Women’s Aid in a bid to make sure others don’t end up in similar situations to hers.
