Nicolas Parsons is famed for hosting Radio 4’s Just A Minute since its inception in 1967. Tributes have begun pouring in, honouring a life spent in the public eye.
How did he die?
Mr Parson’s agent confirmed he died after a “short illness”.
Jean Diamond issued the statement on behalf of the family.
The statement said: “Nicholas passed away in the early hours of the 28th of January.
“He was with his beloved family who will miss him enormously and who wish to thank the wonderful staff at the Stoke Mandeville Hospital.”
