Niall Horan has denied rumours about a One Direction reunion and now we’ve got no idea who to believe.

While Liam Payne previously had everyone’s hopes high that 1D might actually be a thing again this year, the Nice To Meet Ya singer is having none of it.

‘No, there’s just a lot of talk about it at the moment cause there’s like a 10 year… the 10 year anniversary of the band getting together is happening this year,’ he explained.

Asked if it felt like 10 years to him, Niall added during an Instagram Live with  Cobra Puma Golf UK: ‘Absolutely not, it’s nuts, it’s strange.

‘Sometimes it feels like it was yesterday, other times it feels like 50 years ago.’

The 26-year-old went on to say: ‘There’s been a lot of talk about it but there’s no reunion as such. We’ve just been talking a bit more recently.’

You’re breaking our hearts here, Niall.

Liam had previously teased: ‘We’ve got a 10-year anniversary coming up so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks, which has been really nice.

‘There’s a number of different things that we are all working on to try and make happen and people are forwarding emails around.’

Whatever happens, we’ll just be happy to see the boys working together again.

Rumours have been rife about how the band are set to mark the 10 year anniversary, after they formed on 2010’s series of The X Factor.

Earlier this month, it was reported they’ll be taking part in a TV special to celebrate the occasion, instead of a full-on reunion – after all, they are all pretty busy.

‘They all have their own music ongoing so a reunion right now just wouldn’t make sense, a source told The Sun.

‘A reunion with all five members is a wonderful idea but in practice, these things take a long time to arrange and it doesn’t seem feasible at the moment.’

It’s okay lads. We’ve waited four years, we can wait a little longer.
