City will face Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-finals next month.

Should Guardiola’s side get past ex-City coach Mikel Arteta and co, they’ll face Manchester United or Chelsea in the FA Cup final.

Guardiola was delighted with his side’s performance, with the City boss claiming they’ll now focus on the FA Cup and the Champions League.

City need to play the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie against Real Madrid, with Guardiola’s side boasting a 2-1 lead.

He said: “We are in the semi-finals. It was not easy to attack against a team defending so deep but it was a good performance. I am happy to go back to London, to Wembley.

“After the defeat against Chelsea, now in the Premier League we are struggling to focus.

“We are close in the Champions League and there is a gap. We are at Wembley again and were winners last season so that is so good.

“We are of course preparing for Madrid now.”
