The New York Excelsior (NYXL) has announced a partnership with taco restaurant chain Dos Toros to sponsor an Overwatch League (OWL) watch party in Brooklyn, New York, this weekend.

The NYXL Knockdown event will take place on Sunday, August 25 at the Brooklyn Bowl music venue and bowling alley, as attendees watch the stream of the New York Excelsior facing the Vancouver Titans during the Kit Kat Rivalry Weekend Overwatch League homestand event at The Novo at LA Live in Los Angeles. It is the NYXL’s final regular season match.

According to an NYXL representative, this is Dos Toros’ first esports sponsorship. The company—which has 20 locations across New York and Chicago—will provide gift cards as prizes for bowling and gaming competitions at the event, along with other giveaway opportunities. Dos Toros locations will also offer free chips and guacamole between August 22-25 to anyone who shows a ticket to the event. Additionally, the company will sponsor match highlights shown on social media.

Watch parties have become a popular option for Overwatch League teams to drive fandom and awareness in their home markets ahead of next season’s move to home and away games. Watch parties also generate additional revenue for teams. Tickets to the NYXL Knockdown event range in price from $25 to $150, depending on the number of additional benefits included in each package. The team has held a number of watch parties and fan events since the league began play early last year.

The NYXL Knockdown watch party will also feature an activation from candy brand Kit Kat, which will offer attendees a new flavor of Kit Kat Duos candy bars. T-Mobile will also sponsor the watch party, with a 50% drink discount offered to the first 200 subscribers at the event, plus GameStop will hold giveaways.
