New Scientist Live: From time travel to robots, there's plenty to choose from


is once again hosting the event, which is expected to attract many thousands of visitors over the course of four days. A spokesman said: “ will take you on an incredible, mind-blowing journey of discovery. “It’s packed with ground-breaking immersive experiences, , workshops and performances making it a truly extraordinary day out for all ages.”

New Scientist Live features five immersive zone and 120 speakers on a huge range of topics:

Cosmos: Fifty years after the moon landing, visitors can discover why the moon still matters and explore the lunar in the stunning interactive Museum of the Moon. Speakers will discuss , consider whether time travel could be possible and share insights from the first exoplanet.

Earth: Bringing to life the challenges whichthe planet is facing every day. A must-see highlight is the Incredible Creatures Feature – an immersive photo exhibit where the British Ecological Society brings to life the sites, sounds and smells of the creatures of Earth.

Humans: Shedding new light on the human body and exporing how , robots and 3D printing are transforming the future of healthcare and humanity. Topics include microrobotic surgery, mini organs, personalised cancer treatments and immunotheraphy.

Technology: A closer look at the technologies which will change the world in the years to come. Robots, AI, Twitterbots and quantum technology are all on the agenda as expert speakers inspire and re-educate on technologies which are changing what is means to be human.

Engineering: Providing an understanding of what it takes to build the world and the myriad of ways engineering features in everyday life without people realising it.

Tickets start from £31 for an adult day pass or £73 for a family day ticket (for four).

The Friday Night Lates ticket £20, allows entrance for adults between 5pm and 9pm.

Thursday 10 October is schools focus day and there are special rates for staff and pupils.
