Premier League Darts is now set to resume on 30 July in Birmingham, with the Play-Offs taking place in Sheffield on 15 October as the PDC works around the continuing coronavirus crisis.

Dates in March and April had already been postponed and now all the fixtures in May have been moved, with the tournament getting back underway in the summer.

The new dates are all planned to include an audience, with tickets for original dates still valid for the new ones.

The O2 in London is missing out on hosting the Play-Offs this year but will be the setting for Judgement Night on 20 August when one player will be relegated from the Premier League.

Rotterdam will still host two nights, but they will be normal Premier League evenings in the second half of the event on 9-10 September.

The PDC’s announcement comes a day after they moved this year’s World Series events in New York, Queensland, New South Wales and Hamilton back to 2021.

‘As with our recent decision to move the US Darts Masters in New York back 12 months to be part of our 2021 World Series of Darts, we felt that this was the most appropriate step for our Oceanic events given the current global situation,’ said PDC Chief Executive Matthew Porter.

‘The reaction of fans in Australia and New Zealand ahead of our World Series of Darts events had been extremely encouraging and we had been very excited about our planned debuts in Wollongong and Townsville as well as the return to Hamilton.

‘To agree dates to stage the events in 2021 will now enable fans to plan with a greater degree of certainly for what should be three fantastic World Series events.’
