New Matthijs de Ligt transfer offer made with personal terms already agreed

Juventus have reportedly submitted a fresh transfer offer to Ajax for Matthijs de Ligt having already agreed personal terms.

The Dutch defender is expected to link up with Cristiano Ronaldo by making a big-money move to Turin.

The 19-year-old is believed to have already agreed a five-year deal with the Serie A giants worth around €11m per season.

But a transfer fee with Ajax has yet to be agreed with Juventus looking to obtain his signature for the best possible price.

They initially submitted a bid well below the €75m demanded by Ajax with a €50m bid made last week.

According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf , they have now substantially increased that figure with a €67m approach.

Juventus have reportedly tabled an improved bid for Ajax ace Matthijs de Ligt

It has still been turned down, however, as Ajax look to hold out for what they believe to be a deserved fee for their prized asset.

De Ligt has returned to pre-season training with Ajax, but with the club due to fly out to Austria next week, Juventus are keen to get the deal done.

They are believed to be hopeful of presenting him as their new signing on Saturday and ensuring he does not fly to Austria.

They could therefore pay the fee Ajax are demanding in order to ensure he joins them on their pre-season tour of Asia.

If they get their wish and the De Ligt deal is completed, he would make his Juventus debut against Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in a pre-season friendly.
