Why spend money at the GTA Online casino when you can steal it? As Rockstar promise the ‘most complex criminal operation ever’.

After years of waiting, GTA Online opened up its own casino back in the summer but next week you’ll finally get the chance to rob the place in the game’s newest heist.

Heists are special jobs that require up to four players to work together to complete objectives and, if successful, earn a large amount of cash. There are currently six in total, each one more rewarding and more dangerous than the last.

The newest one was teased yesterday via Rockstar’s official Twitter account, which had a short video that suggests that the character of Lester, who played a key role in previous heists, will also return.

It will be set at the Diamond Casino & Resort, and see players teaming up with the Cheng family to breach the casino’s security, access the vault, and take revenge against the Duggan family – the antagonists that were introduced in the casino update.

You will even set-up and run your own arcade business as a front for your schemes, and Rockstar promises the heist to be ‘the biggest, most audacious, most complex criminal operation ever,’ with ‘a diverse range of opportunities for set-up and prep missions that shape your plan of attack multiple paths of approach, constantly changing security measures and a dizzying array of choices once inside.’

Rockstar also claims that outcomes will change depending on the players’ choices, making this heist ‘highly replayable with new scenarios unfolding each time.’ Should the plan fall apart, however, it will be possible for you to simply shoot your way out, so as to avoid failing the mission completely.

Rockstar plan to reveal more details of when the heist launches next week on Thursday, 12 December.

GTA Online is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
