HBO has released a new trailer and poster for Game Of Thrones that hints all our favourite characters will die — and fans are not having it.
The network has just released its second full-length Game of Thrones trailer dubbed “Aftermath”.
And fans searching for any hints they can get ahead of the final season are finding it very worrying.
None of the characters are featured in the trailer – which just Winterfell completely destroyed.
Possessions belonging to viewers’ favourite heroes are seen scattered across the abandoned snowy battlefield.
In another move that threatens to panic fans, the network has also released a new GoT poster that shows all of the characters’ lifeless bodies forming the shape of the Iron Throne.
The poster is captioned: “The great war was here.”
In the one-minute trailer, Jon Snow’s sword “Longclaw” and Arya Stark’s beloved sword “Needle” are among the ruins.
We can also see Jaime Lannister’s gold hand, Bran Stark’s wheelchair and Tyrion Lannister’s Hand of the King pin.
Social media has gone into chaos over both the trailer and the harrowing poster, with fans declaring they’ll “riot” if their heroes are killed off.
Given the fantasy drama has become known for its unpredictability, most of the major characters being killed off could be too obvious.
But it’s also famous for its brutal deaths.
We will soon find out when the eighth and final series of Game Of Thrones premiere on Sunday, April 14 in the UK.
