Netflix Stranger Things' Noah Schnapp talks Will Byers sexuality in new season

It goes without saying that Will Byers is undoubtedly one of Stranger Things‘ most mysterious characters on the show.

During season three, fictional character Will, who is played by 15-year-old Noah Schnapp, found himself is a sticky situation as his friends entered into romantic relationships which caused them to drift apart.

Will was one of the show’s first children to live within the nefarious Upside Down and managed to retain a mysterious connection with the Mind Flayer ever since.

During one heated exchange between characters, Mike (Finn Wolfhard) snapped: “It’s not my fault you don’t like girls!”

Ever since then, fans have speculated about Will’s sexuality – and now Noah himself has waded into the conversation.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly he said: “There’s nothing set in stone – some people perceive it as Will could be gay, asexual or whatever.”

He added: “Or, like how I see it, he was stuck in the Upside Down, and he was away for so long that all of his friends started growing up while he was in this other world.

“When he came back, everyone was all grown up, and he was still a little kid who still wanted to do little kid things like play D&D, Dungeons & Dragons.”
