Orange Is the New Black season seven dropped a couple of days ago with many fans binging the finale series in one go.
It’s been an emotional seven years of the prison drama, which never shoes away from platforming difficult topics.
But amid all of the thoughtful plots about class, race, sexuality and gender one subplot has always remained at the forefront and that’ Alex and Piper’s relationship.
Now Netflix shared some ‘lost audition tapes’ of Laura Prepon and Taylor Schilling first stepping into their characters’ shoes.
Posting to Twitter, the clip shares: ‘Vauseman before they were Vauseman! @LauraPrepon and @TaySchilling look back at their OITNB auditions.’

The sweet video shows the pair practising some of their most iconic scenes as they look back and reminisce.
‘That’s a great scene, you’re incredible!’ Laura tells her colleague and Taylor bemoans the fact that she ‘wore stripes to a prison audition’.
She added: ‘After we did our test, that felt so good.’
Laura agreed, saying: ‘If it works it works, you can’t force it.
‘That’s the beginning of Alex and Piper – look at that!’
Season seven saw Alex and Piper separated for the most part as Piper was released from Litchfield on probation.
Alex gets transferred to a prison in Ohio but the two stay together, with emotional scenes of Pipper driving to visit her wife.
