Netflix sensation Tiger King to return with another episode, say streaming giant

Hugely successful Tiger King will return for one more episode, Netflix has confirmed.

The documentary follows eccentric wildlife breeder Joe Exotic who is currently serving a 22-year sentence after he was found guilty of paying somebody to kill animal activist Carole Baskin as well as killing tigers in order for more exotic cats to be homed at his animal park.

Joe Exotic is one of several characters that are featured in Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem And Madness, which has become a global hit since being released on the streaming platform.

An eighth episode, titled The Tiger King And I, will drop on Netflix on April 12.

Joe is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence

The show will be hosted by comedian Joel McHale and will include interviews with stars from the show including John Reinke, Joshua Dial, John Finlay, Saff, Erik Cowie, Rick Kirkman, and Jeff and Lauren Lowe.

In a video announcing the episode, McHale said: “I talk to a lot of people involved in the project.

“To see what’s happened in their lives since the release of the series. It’s eye-opening and, hopefully, funny.”

Tiger King documents the downfall of Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, as he struggles to maintain control of his zoo in Oklahoma.

Exotic has filed legal documents claiming he cannot stand a fair trial as the presiding judge is allegedly homophobic

It has proven hugely popular and attracted an army of celebrity fans, many of whom have dressed up as Exotic.

President Trump recently vowed to look into the conviction of Exotic after being questioned by reporters.

One reporter questioned the President, saying: “One of the biggest rating hits of the coronavirus, aside from these briefings, is a show on Netflix called Tiger King.

“The man who is the star of this, a former zoo owner, is serving a 22-year prison sentence, he’s asking you for a pardon, that he was unfairly convicted, your son jokingly said he’d advocate for it and I was wondering if you’d seen the show and had any thoughts on pardoning Joe Exotic?”

President Trump said he would be looking into the conviction

Trump replied: “I know nothing about it, he has 22-years for what?

The US Sun reported that the President then turned the tables and asked a reporter: “you think he didn’t do it?

“Are you on his side? Are you recommending a pardon?”

He later added: “I’ll take a look.”
