Streaming service Netflix has an enormous library of binge-worthy TV and offers around 3,000 film titles. With millions of people stuck inside due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has so far infected more than 500,000 people worldwide, there’s not much else to do than sit in front of the TV.
But with Netflix’s huge library of films, it can be hard to find the perfect one to watch.
As of April 2019, the platform had more than 148 million paid subscriptions worldwide.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) – Comedy/Action
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is directed by Jake Kasdan and stars Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart and Jack Black.
When four students play with a magical video game, they are drawn to the jungle world of Jumanji, where they are trapped as their avatars.
To return to the real world, they must finish the game.
The Revenant (2015) – Western/Adventure
Based on a novel of the same name, The Revenant is a story of revenge.
Hugh Glass, a legendary frontiersman, is severely injured in a bear attack and is abandoned by his hunting crew.
The film stars Leonardo Dicaprio, Tom Hardy and Domhnall Gleeson.
The Theory of Everything (2014) – Drama/Romance
The Theory of Everything is about astrophysics student Stephen Hawking.
While working on his research at Cambridge University he learns he suffers from motor neurone disease and has around two years to live.
The film stars Eddie Redmayne as Stephen and Felicity Jones as his wife Jane.
Moneyball (2011) – Sport/Drama
Moneyball is a biographical sports drama film directed by Bennett Miller and written by Steven Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin starring Brad Pitt.
The film is based on Michael Lewis’s 2003 nonfiction book of the same name, an account of the Oakland Athletics baseball team’s 2002 season and their general manager Billy Beane’s attempts to assemble a competitive team.
Billy Beane joins forces with Yale graduate Peter Brand to challenge the old-school selection methods and reinvent his team using a sabermetric model that has never been used before.
Roma (2018) – Drama
Roma is a 2018 drama film written, directed and produced by Alfonso Cuarón.
Set in 1970 and 1971, Roma follows the life of a live-in housekeeper of a middle-class family, as a semi-autobiographical take on Cuarón’s upbringing in the Colonia Roma neighborhood of Mexico City.
The Fundamentals of Caring (2016) – Drama
Writer Paul Rudd retires after a personal tragedy and becomes a disabled teen named Trevor’s caregiver.
When the two embark on an impromptu road trip, their ability to cope is tested as they start to understand the importance of hope and friendship.
Written and directed by Rob Burnett, it is based on the 2012 novel The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving by Jonathan Evison.
Matilda (1996) – Family/Comedy
One of the best children’s films on the 1990s, Matilda is a dark and witty adaption of Roald Dahl’s book of the same name.
The film was released in 1996 and co-produced and directed by Danny DeVito from a screenplay written by Nicholas Kazan and Robin Swicord.

As civil war rages in Africa, a fierce warlord, played by Idris Elba, trains a young orphan named Agu to join his group of guerrilla soldiers.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Story (2019) – Drama/Crime
The American neo-Western crime thriller film serves as an epilogue to the television series Breaking Bad.
Series creator Vince Gilligan wrote, directed, and produced the film, while Aaron Paul reprised his role as Jesse Pinkman.
