Neil Robertson claimed his semi-final win over Ronnie O’Sullivan at the Champion of Champions represented one of the best matches of his illustrious career.

The match went down to a deciding frame in Coventry, with the Australian making a clearance of 90 to take the spoils.

The 37-year-old held his nerve in the 11th and final frame to reach Sunday’s showpiece event where he will face the winner of Saturday’s second semi-final between Judd Trump and Mark Allen.

‘It’s definitely one of the best matches I’ve been involved in,’ Robertson told ITV Sport.

‘Both players played to a fantastic level and the crowd enjoyed it. Ronnie was very aggressive and kept me under pressure so I had to respond and be aggressive as well.

‘He has had the better of me in the past four or five matches, but when you get your chance, you have to take it.’
