Strictly Come Dancing star Neil Jones, 37, who is newly-single following his split from Katya Jones, 30, in August, recieved some very sad news at the weekend. The professional dancer took to Twitter and announced the death of his uncle Johnny.
In view of his 85,000 followers, Neil shared a sweet message, as he wrote: “RIP uncle Johnny,” followed by tear-faced emoji and a broken heart.
Fans flocked to comment on the post, with many of them offering messages of condolence following his family loss.
“Sorry to read your sad news Neil,” a social media user commented, while another person added: “I’m so sorry. Sending you love.”
Another person remarked: “RIP Uncle Johnny. Sending all the love to you and your family.”

While a fourth person commented: “Sorry for your loss. Lots of love to you and your family at this awful time.”
It is not clear what was the cause of his uncle’s death, as Neil did not share any further details.
The professional dancer did take to Instagram and shared a black and white snap of them together holding a trophy.
Meanwhile, Neil also gave a rare insight into his family life, as he took to Instagram to upload a photo of his mum Helen Jones on Mother’s Day yesterday.
In view of his 230,000 followers, the Strictly star uploaded a snap of his mum dressed in a white ensemble.
He captioned the photo: “Happy Mother’s Day. I know today will be hard for you and I’m sending all my love. You have made me the person I am today and I don’t know many people who could single handedly raise four kids, this shows how strong you really. Love ya mum #mothersday #family.” (sic)
Neil’s estranged wife Katya also commented on the heartwarming message, as she admitted she loves Helen “endlessly”.
Katya replied: “The most wonderful, selfless woman I have ever met . She spreads love, kindness and light wherever she goes. Love you endlessly @helenjones6944.”
Neil’s former Strictly dance partner Alex Scott was pictured out with his ex-wife Katya yesterday despite the Government’s advice to social distance.
The footballer and the dancing pro appeared in jovial spirits, despite flouting government guidelines, as they went for a stroll amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
Alex looked ready for their active afternoon as she donned a pair of black gym-leggings, Nike sports jacket and a hoodie underneath.
The athlete, who was partnered with Neil on the BBC stalwart last year, kept her hair out of her face with a pink hairband.
Katya wrapped up for the outing in a long quilted jacket and a cream beanie.
She accessorised her look with a black bumbag across her chest, as they strolled through London.
The pals took to Instagram during the day to share snaps of them practising social distancing, which has been described as one of the most effective methods to tackle the outbreak of COVID-19.
