Neil deGrasse Tyson horrifies all with his 'Frozen' fact


US astronomer Neil deGrasse Tyson has spoiled Frozen for everyone.

Astrophysicist, author and TV presenter Tyson dropped this little snippet of trivia on his Twitter feed in the early hours of this morning.

“Not that anybody asked, but if Elsa from Frozen’ has a Human-sized Head then she has Horse-sized Eyeballs — occupying 4x the normal volume within her cranium,” he writes.

“I’m just sayin’.”

Well, no one was ‘askin, Neil.

Of course, Elsa is a cartoon, and generally speaking, cartoons aren’t anatomically accurate for reasons of fun and wonderment.

Despite her horse-sized eyeballs, Elsa – or at least the voice of Elsa, Idina Menzel – recently romped home with a second Oscar.

Her gong for the anthem Into The Unknown will now sit next to the one she won in 2013, for the equally anthemic Let It Go.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is currently the recipient of no Oscars.

As for whether we’ll get to see Elsa’s massive eyeballs again on screen continues to be a mystery.

Frozen 2, released in November last year and which is, miraculously, still showing at some UK cinemas, felt like a natural conclusion to the story of sisters Anna and Elsa, as they trekked off to the north to discover the origin of Elsa’s icy powers.

However, the fact that it made nearly $1.5 billion at the worldwide box office could be a temptation too hard to resist for Disney.
