NCT 127 confirmed as first K-Pop stars to perform at MTV Europe Music Awards 2019

NCT 127 have confirmed they will be performing at the MTV EMAs in November – making them the first K-Pop band to perform at the event.

Announcing that they will be joining artists including Dua Lipa, Halsey, Green Day and Ava Max as MTV Europe Music Awards performers for 2019, they shared the news on social media.

They told fans: ‘Hey guys! Yes, we are very excited to announce that we will be performing at the 2019 MTV EMAs in Seville, Spain. Wooo!

‘Yes, we are very excited, it will air live on November 3rd, on a Sunday – don’t forget to tune in everybody. See you soon.’

The band will be the first K-Pop stars to take the stage at the EMAs, and have yet to confirm which songs they will play on the night.

The full list of performers so far is Becky G and Akon, Rosalia, Halsey, Green Day, Ava Max, Mabel, Niall Horan, Dua Lipa and NCT 127.

The nominations for this year’s awards are led by Ariana Grande, who is up for seven EMAs, including Best Artist, Best Video for ‘thank u, next’ and Best Song for ‘7 rings’.

Shawn Mendes, Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X are hot on her heels, however, with six nods each.

Little Mix also made the nominees list as the Social Wildcard, voted for by fans, and the girls took to social media to thank their Mixers.

They wrote: ‘This is ALL YOU. We won the social wildcard vote last week and we’re now MTV EMAS nominees! ‬

‪’We love the way you mixers go hard for us EVERYTIME. You can vote for us until November 2nd.’

This year’s show will be hosted by Becky G, who explained how excited she was to compere the awards: ‘I can’t wait to arrive in Seville to host the year’s hottest global music celebration. See you soon, Beasters!’

The MTV Europe Music Awards will take place from 9pm on 3 November.
