NBA 2K20 update today: New patch notes news for PS4 and Xbox One.


NBA 2K20 update 9 has been released today on PS4 and Xbox One, the latest in a long line of patches.

Following the launch of the game earlier this year, there were plenty of complaints from fans concerning the game’s performance.

And since the Summer, 2K has been releasing big update to help fix the problems pointed out.

That doesn’t mean that everything has been worked out and there is still feedback coming in from fans.

And today, December 12, saw the latest NBA 2K20 update released for all major platforms.

And the good news is that we already have the patch notes, confirming what is being looked at.

In the past, 2K has taken a long time to provides NBA 2K20 notes, and they have also proven vague.

But today’s NBA 2K20 patch notes come with a list of changes for fans to look over and inspect.

“Some actual good changes even though most were things they messed up in previous patches,” one NBA 2K fan writes online.

Another adds: “As long as they fix things each time IDC. Plus, most of the community always looks for the new broken thing in a new update, then the game breaks more.

“Did they fix jump shot 98 being slow since the previous update? I use to run it silver no problem but had to move it to Gold because they broke it.”

According to those downloading the new NBA 2K update today, the console version weighs in at just under 5GB.

You can find a list of the official patch notes shared for today’s (December 12) NBA 2K20 update below:

  • Addressed an issue where specific animations were getting unequipped upon entering the Neighborhood.
  • Hot Zones are now properly reflected in both The Rec and Neighborhood games.
  • The appearance of the ‘ninja-style’ headbands seen on many players has been updated to reflect their new look for the 2019-20 NBA season.
  • The proper amount of boosts are now consumed upon completion of a MyPLAYER Nation game.
  • MyTEAM users can once again quickly sub in their bench lineups in one action.
  • When two players form a Duo in MyTEAM, their badge upgrades are now visible on the player card when viewed in the Lineups menu outside of gameplay.

It follows the news that NBA 2K20 can now be played via the new Google Stadia service on compatible devices.

While not all mobile phones support Google Stadia, it won’t be long before NBA 2K fans can play the game on a number of different devices via cloud gaming.

NBA 2K20 Standard Edition and NBA 2K20 Digital Deluxe Edition are available for $59.99 and $79.99, respectively. The NBA 2K20 Legend Edition includes 100,000 Virtual Currency, MyTEAM cards, digital items for MyPLAYERs, and more for $99.99.

Google Stadia will be seeing its full launch next year, by which time it will be supporting on gaming steaming on a number of different devices.

Currently, gamers can play NBA 2K20 using a Chrome tab on their laptop or PC, or a compatible Pixel Phone.
