NBA 2K20: Player Ratings Best Point Guards – Curry, Lillard, Irving & more

The point guard position has certainly changed over the last decade or so, with more and more scoring coming from the position. We will see some consistency to the rankings this season, but also experience plenty of changes. Some players have moved up in the rankings and several stars have changed teams. A quality point guard can make your team a title contender in an instant, but who will be the best on NBA 2K20 when it releases on 6 September?

Stephen Curry (OVR 95)

Team: Golden State Warriors

Height: 6’3”

Shoes: Under Armour

Curry will stay at the number one spot and same rating for this season. I would not be surprised to see him turn in a monster year and be in the mix for MVP now that many familiar Warriors faces are either on other teams or injured for the majority of this year. Curry, the greatest 3-point shooter of all time, was able to post 27.3 points, 5.2 assists and 5.1 3-pointers made per game last season.

Damian Lillard (OVR 92)

Team: Portland Trail Blazers

Height: 6’3”

Shoes: Adidas

Lillard is, without a doubt, my favorite active player in the league. He is often compared to Curry and his ranking now reflects this. Last season he averaged 25.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game and will continue to impress during his prime years.

Kyrie Irving (OVR 91)

Team: Brooklyn Nets

Height: 6’3”

Shoes: Nike

Irving is the first star point guard playing for a different team next season. After seeming like he was committed to Boston, Irving will now be playing in Brooklyn. This season he will be doing a lot of the heavy lifting, but he will be rewarded next year when Kevin Durant returns from injury. Irving averaged 23.8 points, 5 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game for Boston.

Russell Westbrook (OVR 90)

Team: Houston Rockets

Height: 6’3”

Shoes: Jordan

Westbrook will now be playing alongside long-time friend and former teammate James Harden in Houston. They will form one of the most potent backcourt duos and hope to find playoff success. While Westbrook is still a triple-double machine, his inefficiencies have started to become obvious as he inevitably approaches the downhill part of his career. During his age 30 season, Westbrook averaged 22.9 points, 11.1 rebounds and 10.7 assists per game.

Kemba Walker (OVR 88)

Team: Boston Celtics

Height: 6’1”

Shoes: Jordan

After playing his entire career in Charlotte, Walker will now head to Boston to replace Kyrie Irving and continue Boston’s winning ways. Last season, Walker averaged 25.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game as Charlotte’s uncontested leader.
