Kucherov spoke on his new venture in a release: “In a way I am very closely connected to NAVI, for which I have been cheering for many years. Over more than 15 years of my experience in esports industry, I remember its foundation, rapid development and, of course gloriuos victories.

“I know so many people who work here, they’re cool and energetic, true pros in their professional area. That’s why I’m happy to join Born to Win and I won’t simply try, but will do my very best to make sure that together with the NAVI fans we will cheer until we strain our voices from our legendary victories.”

Kucherov’s responsibilities at Natus Vincere will include financial management, business-process building, and transfer politics – the latter resulted in a CIS region conference being held by Natus Vincere earlier this month.

The organisation was recently revealed as one of 13 partner teams for the ESL Pro League and has earned its place in the next Dota 2 Major, ESL One Los Angeles 2020, following a victory over HellRaisers in the CIS Closed Qualifier.

Esports Insider says: Natus Vincere has a long history in Counter-Strike so it isn’t surprising to see a player from the franchise take up a significant role in the organisation. Right now, Na’Vi’s CS:GO team is one of the best in the world and it is a respected name across numerous other titles too. Hiring the right people in management roles is as, if not more, important as signing the best players right now.
