Natalie Portman broke down into giggles on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon as the pair attempted to perform a Mad Lib piece.

Mad Libs calls on players to create a list of words to substitute for blanks in a story, before they then read the now nonsensical and comical story out loud.

It is a skit Jimmy has regularly used on his nightly talk show.

The pair told the story of a couple breaking up as they enjoyed a day out apple picking and although they managed to get through the first part of the story, Natalie lost it when she told Jimmy: ‘I’ll always have a special place for you in my butt.’

As the audience burst into laughter, the pair giggled their way through the rest of the scene after taking a moment to move past the lines.

Natalie was on the show to promote her new film Lucy In The Sky.

It is loosely based on a true story and follows Natalie as Lucy Cola, an astronaut that returns to Earth after a lengthy space mission, where she begins an affair with fellow astronaut Mark Goodwin (Jon Hamm).

It was also confirmed earlier in 2019 that Natalie will also return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Jane Foster, who was last seen on screen in 2013’s The Dark World.

Speaking of the announcement of her return, which saw her walk out on stage at Comic Con holding Thor’s hammer, she said: ‘I was aware that there was a storyline but I didn’t know they were doing that in the movies.’

‘It was definitely nerve-wracking, and [I worry] someone will call me out,’ she added.

Of holding Mjolner, she said: ‘I didn’t get to practice ahead of time, so I picked it up and it was kind of heavy.’
