Naomi Watts has brushed off the Game of Throne prequel axe by doing what she’s best at – screaming it out.

Who needs to rule the Seven Kingdoms when you already have the title Scream Queen, anyway?

Taking to Instagram on Halloween, the actress decided to treat her fans to a compilation of her best screeches, and we love her for it.

Next to the short clip of her wailing on numerous occasions, the star wrote: ‘If in doubt, S C R E A M it OUT!!! #happyhalloween.’

She followed this with a string of spooky emojis, and fans naturally went wild.

‘You are a good SCREAMER….love it Naomi!!!’ one wrote while another added: ‘I’m living for this.’

Someone else joked: ‘My throat hurts just watching that.’

But while she shared clips from The Ring, it seems her followers were let down by the absence of any King Kong references.

‘How the hell did she not put the one of her seeing Kong for the first time. The greatest scream ever put to film.’

The actress’s post comes after she was supposed to be taking the leap into Westeros.

However, plans for the Game of Thrones prequel were scrapped earlier this week, even though a pilot episode had already been filmed (don’t worry though, there’s another one in the works).

Sources at The Hollywood Reporter claimed that Goldman emailed the cast to share the news that the project had been binned.

The show, titled Bloodmoon, had been given the go-ahead last year and shooting for the first episode kicked off in Northern Ireland in June.

Naomi was at the helm of the new show, with the likes of John Simm, Miranda Richardson and Marquis Rodriguez also on the bill.

Speaking to Net-A-Porter’s PorterEdit back in August, she admitted that she was terrified about the series.

‘I still have fears about [the show],’ she said: ‘I don’t really know what to prepare for. I didn’t start watching until I was approached about this job.

‘But my brother [photographer Ben Watts], who is heavily into it, told me “Under no circumstances are you going to turn this down”.’

Game of Thrones is available to stream on Sky, HBO and NOW TV.
